Coore Crenshaw - Crazy Mountain Ranch in Montana
The new walkable 18-Hole Golf Course at Crazy Mountain Ranch is designed by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw and anticipated to open in 2025. The landscape will feature mountain views, aspen groves & wide open spaces surrounding the Ranch overlooking Hammond Creek.
Currently under construction, this design will provide members with a walkable 18 holes of golf. A par 3 short course is also being planned. Greens are seeded bentgrass and Kentucky Bluegrass fairways. Irrigation is Toro Lynx. Fly fishing, skeet shooting and other activities are being planned as well over the 18,000 acre expanse.
The bedrock in the Crazy Mountains is formed by the Big Timber Stock, a large igneous intrusion adjacent to Custer Gallatin National Forest. The stock is of the Tertiary age consisting of diorite and gabbro with zones of Quartz Monzodiorite which over time has been intruded by many dikes and sills.
Lone Mountain Land Company (LMLC) has partnered with Discovery Land to operate the golf club. Lone Mountain Land Company was created by CrossHarbor Capital Partners to manage the planning, entitlement, building, marketing, and sale of premier real estate communities in and around Big Sky, Montana and other locations worldwide.
