New Golf Course in Portugal - Monte Rei South

Monte Rei Golf & Country Club is a private club located in the Algarve region of Portugal. The resort features Monte Rei North Golf Course, a clubhouse, a spa, and a variety of accommodation options. Monte Rei is a popular winter destination for golfers and other luxury travelers. Temperate weather - The average high temperature in March is 19°C (66°F) and the average low temperature is 13°C. The average amount of precipitation in March is 22mm.

In January 2025, Arrow Global announced acquisition of Monte Rei. Previsouly, Hong Kong-based real estate development company OLH Properties had acquired the resort in 2017. OLH Properties had plans to expand by adding the second golf course, Monte Rei South Golf Course with new accommodation options and improved amenities. OLH Properties planned to build a new luxury hotel as well.

In March 2019, Monte Rei Golf & Country Club announced a second golf course designed by Nicklaus Design. The new course will be located adjacent to the resort's existing North Course. Consent planning updates undertaken in 2023 resulted in new requirements for irrigation on the golf course using treated wastewater.
