Oakfire Club is planning two new nine-hole golf courses at a private, members-only club in Bulverde, Texas north of San Antonio. The development occupies approximately 49 acres of Texas Hill Country land and is led by founder and developer Sean Tipton. Golf design and operations are being developed in partnership with True Club Solutions, a division of Troon.
The Oakfire Course is a nine-hole executive layout planned at par 30 and 1,770 yards from its back tees, complemented by the Ridge Course, a separate nine-hole, par-27 pitch-and-putt measuring 211 yards. A golf course master plan dated January 22, 2026 illustrates both routings, an entertainment putting green, practice areas and the wider club amenities. The club currently anticipates its golf amenities opening in 2028; this remains a projected schedule, not a confirmed opening date.
The Oakfire Course's proposed routing includes seven par-3 holes, one par-4 and one par-5. According to the January 2026 plan, the back, middle and front tees total approximately 1,770, 1,450 and 1,120 yards, respectively. The back-tee par-3 holes range from 95 to 215 yards, with a 255-yard par 4 and 290-yard par 5. The routing makes use of the property's ridge topography, native trees, bunkers and a pond near the southwestern portion of the site.
The developer describes a course intended to offer varied angles and strategic choices in a shorter format. These figures and design details reflect the published master plan; grading or final construction documents may change the layout.
The separate Ridge Course is a par-27 short course with holes between approximately 16 and 29 yards on the supplied master plan, totaling 211 yards. Conceived as a social, two-club experience for wedges and putters, it is routed among existing live oak trees on the upper part of the property. The design allows multiple playing positions and informal short-course competitions.
The January 2026 plan also identifies a large entertainment putting green, a short-game area and a practice green. The club's published golf description calls for multiple chipping greens, a practice bunker, varied green edges and pitch-shot practice out to approximately 60 yards. The putting green is intended for both warm-ups and casual putting games.
The project is located at 1275 Stoney Ridge Road, Bulverde, Texas, in the fast-growing corridor north of San Antonio. View Oakfire Ridge on Google Maps. This address is the project's published location, not a surveyed position for a particular golf hole.

The golf courses are part of a reported $50 million private club development planned around dining, recreation and social facilities. Oakfire's broader program includes a steakhouse called Oakfire Prime, an underground speakeasy, swimming pools, indoor pickleball and padel courts, and golf simulators. Founder Sean Tipton has described Oakfire as a hospitality-focused destination for members rather than a conventional 18-hole country club.

Oakfire's public project materials have described a phased development. An earlier marketing schedule anticipated initial club activity in 2026; the updated charter membership schedule lists dining-related additions in 2027 and golf amenities in the 2028 grand-opening phase. As of October 2026, the available public information does not establish that construction of the golf courses themselves has started.
