Cape Coral Golf Course - Paradise Isle
Paradise Isle is a mixed-use development in North Fort Myers, Florida. The proposed project to re-develop the abandoned Cape Coral Golf Course is being led by owner Dennis Fullenkamp and is expected to cost up to $1 billion to complete. The site is 271 acres including Paradise Marina and the previously named Paradise Preserve golf course designed by William F. Mitchell in 1972.
Ron Garl was selected to re-imagine the abandoned golf course into a public resort play golf course for the local Cape Coral community. Approval for site re-construction was granted by Lee County in 2020, but the planned Q4 2021 golf construction never started.
Government and community leaders in 2024 have started to work with Fullenkamp to purchase the site and plan the amenity offering with golf and other options.
