The Hills have planned a re-routing of the existing golf course by Geoff Oglivy, Mike Cocking, and Ashley Mead to begin in 2026. The Hills will be the design group's first work by Oglivy Cocking Mead in New Zealand.
In an interview with Jim Rohrstaff on the Yardage Book Podcast outlines the plans for updates to the golf course walking friendly intimacy and irrigation control updates. Rohrstaff has enjoyed success at Tara Iti and Te Arai as Managing Director overseeing the build out over the past decade. Tara Iti's visionary Ric Kayne is partnering with the Hills family for the next re-investment in the golf course infrastructure buildout and changes.
Oglivy Cocking Mead design firm redesigned Medinah #3 with three new holes being added to the historic championship course. The herringbone drainage green design is shown in the adjacent photo. PGA Tour event, The President's Cup, will be hosted at Medinah #3 in 2026.
In a similar rebuild project with a new routing, Yangtze Dunes in China gained critical acclaim from Top 100 ranking media and design critics like The Fried Egg.
Fall Line Golf Club is a 36-hole golf club designed by Oglivy Cocking Mead opening in the Sand Hills of Georgia in 2024.
