Golf architect Art Schaupeter started planning >Bella Ridge Golf Club in 2017. Formal plans were published using the topography maps and time walking the site by 2022.

Golf construction for Bella Ridge started May 2024. Grow in in process - The opening teeshot is planned for 2025.

Schaupeter's routing includes whiskey loop options designed for players who may only have time for a few holes. Art Schaupeter designed TPC Colorado and Highland Meadows Golf Course in Colorado.

The Podtburg family has operated a dairy farm on the property in Johnstown for 45 years.
